Further Study on Ministry of Women

That the report and recommendations of the Deaconess Commission be forwarded to the dioceses for their careful consideration; in particular that the General Synod ask the Commission on Doctrine to study the ministry

(a) of the whole people of God,
(b) of bishops, priests and deacons, and
(c) of women,

such study to be undertaken in relation to similar studies in other communions; and to report to the next session of the Synod.

Synod requests the Commission to refer the Form of Service for the Ordering of a Deaconess, attached to the report, to the Liturgical Commission for its consideration and advice.
