Form of Solemnization of Holy Matrimony

That this General Synod requests the Commission on Doctrine to examine the Form of Solemnization of Holy Matrimony to determine whether any addition or amendment, by way of preamble or otherwise is desirable to make it more appropriate for use in marriages in which divorced persons are involved; that the findings of the Commission on Doctrine be referred to the Liturgical Commission with a view to the formulation of appropriate amendments to the said Form; and that the Liturgical Commission be requested to report as soon as possible to the Bishops.
