Anglican churches in Oceania will work together as “climate champions”, the Primates of the four provinces resolved at their second Fono (gathering) in Fiji from March 5 to 7.
Primates from the four Anglican provinces in the Oceania region gathering for their annual meeting in Fiji today will be joined by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, and the Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, Josiah Idowu-Fearon. The meeting is the first of several regional meetings of Primates being held over the next two years in the run-up to the Lambeth Conference in 2020.
Archbishop Kay Goldsworthy has been installed as the eighth Archbishop of Perth and Australia’s first female archbishop at a service in Perth on Saturday February 10.
