That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as is necessary to enable the Chairman of the Australian Board of Missions to be granted a seat without power of proposition or vote in Synod and that the President be requested to invite him to speak when matters affecting the Australian Board of Missions are being considered by the Synod; and further that at 2.00 p.m. on Thursday, 27th August, the Chairman of the Australian Board of Missions, the Federal Secretary of the Church Missionary Society and the Federal Secretary of the Bush Church Aid Society, be invited to address the Synod for a period of twenty minutes each to inform the Synod of the current situation in the
areas for which they are responsible.
