That this sitting of the Synod be suspended until a date nominated by the President and the President be authorised to adjourn the Synod sine die, on a date determined by him to be appropriate.

At the meeting of the General Synod Standing Committee held on 10th and 11 April 1986 the Standing Committee advised the Primate that the 1985 Session of General Synod should be adjourned sine die.

On Friday 11 April 1986 the Primate declared that the 1985 Session of General Synod be adjourned sine die.
