That this General Synod receives the report of the Anglican and Lutheran Conversations, acknowledges the measure of agreement being reached in discussion on the nature and function of the exercise of Pastoral Oversight in the Church and commends the effort being made by the members to prepare a joint statement on the subject in response to the Niagara Report: Anglican-Lutheran Consultation on Episcope (i.e. Oversight), 1987.
