Assistant Bishops - alteration of Constitution

That:

1. Synod approves in principle the following concepts:
(a) all assistant bishops should be members of the House of Bishops;
(b) assistant bishops should have limited voting rights in the House of Bishops, and
(c) each diocese should have one vote only in the House of Bishops.

2. Synod requests Standing Committee to present to the next session of General Synod recommendations as to:
(a) how legislative effect might be given to these concepts; and
(b) what consequential legislative, machinery and administrative changes will be necessary.
