That this Synod having been reminded by the Primate in his Presidential address of the indispensable contribution of the British and Foreign Bible Society to the mission of the Church; and that next March the Society will be celebrating 150 years of service in Australia in connection with which His Grace the Lord Archbishop of York will be visiting this country, and having learnt from the Society’s Deputy General Secretary of the new opportunities and problems being experienced by the Society as world population increases and the level of literacy rises, sends greetings and congratulations to the British and Foreign Bible Society on its approaching Triple Jubilee; commends the Society to the prayers and generous support of every member of the Church; and calls upon every Diocese and parish to give the Society a realistic place on the Annual Budgets.
