That the Canon Law Commission be re-established and comprise not more than ten persons selected by the Primate after consultation with the Standing Committee and that the functions of the Commission be:

(a) to develop the recommendations contained in the Canon Law Commission Report to General Synod 1981 on
Canon Law in Australia and to report thereon to Standing Committee and to General Synod;

(b) to advise the referring party on such questions of canon law as may be referred to it by the Primate, the
Standing Committee and any Commission established under the General Synod Commissions Canon 1969-1973;

(c) to report on its proceedings to General Synod.
