Commission on International Affairs

Movers Denton, J.G.

That Synod notes the comments in the report of the Commission on International Affairs suggesting that no country has an impeccable record of respect for the human rights of its subjects and that technological advances have led to a tendency for governments to collect more and more information about them which can be misused; and commends to the Australian and all State Governments the need to protect the human rights of our own citizens and in their international regulations to promote policies and practices in which human rights are effectively secured.
