Committee to Review the Operation of the Constitution

Movers Archbishop of Sydney

That:

(a) the Primate be requested to appoint, as a matter of urgency, a representative committee to review the
operation of the Constitution;
(b) the composition and terms of reference of the committee to be settled by the Primate in consultation with
the Standing Committee;
(c) the committee appointed under the terms of this motion consult widely with the dioceses of this church and
if thought desirable arrange appropriate regional meetings of diocesan representatives.
(d) if appropriate, a special session of the General Synod be convened as soon as the Standing Committee
considers it appropriate to do so to decide on recommendations made by the committee and endorsed by the Standing Committee.
