Financial Matters

That Synod adopt the recommendations of Standing Committee concerning the procedure for the handling of financial matters as follows:
(a) Financial matters be dealt with early in General Synod proceedings under matters promoted by the Standing
Committee.
(b) A motion in the following terms is moved: That the Financial Statements for both Statutory and Special Funds for
the previous year as adopted by the Standing Committee and a summary statement covering the period from the year of the previous Synod to the previous year be received.
(c) A motion in the following terms is moved: That the Financial projections for the periods from the year following a
Synod to the year of the next expected Synod be received.
(d) A motion in the following terms is moved: That the estimates of costs, charges and expenses only for the year next
following an ordinary session of Synod be adopted. After initial discussion this motion is adjourned until a time to be ordered which will be towards the end of the session.
(e) When the motion to receive estimates has been passed, a motion shall be moved in the following terms: That
Synod approves the aggregate of the estimate of the costs, charges and expenses for the subsequent year in respect of matters referred to in paragraphs 32(2)(a), (b1), (c) and (e) of the Constitution.
