The first General Synod of the Church of England in Australia offers its very sincere thanks to His Excellency the Governor-General, Viscount De L’Isle, for his memorable address on the occasion of his visit on the first day of synod, Tuesday, 8th May, 1962, and respectfully requests his permission to print the address in synod proceedings.

Synod humbly requests His Excellency to convey its loyal greetings to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
