Immigration and the Development of Australian Society

Movers Denton, J.G.

General Synod declares that Australian society needs to be deliberately developed so that people of various racial and ethnic origins may participate as equals in all aspects of our society, and be able to contribute to this development, and that racial origin itself is not an acceptable reason for excluding any intending migrant.

Further, this Synod encourages the Social Responsibilities Commission to provide informed resource material so that Anglicans may think and act responsibly in matters affecting immigration and the participation by ethnic minorities in the development of the Australian society.
