Long Service Leave

That this synod requests the Standing Committee of General Synod to take the following action:-

(1) To investigate and report to the next session of General Synod as to whether or not it is necessary or desirable to provide some form of long service leave for clergymen, and as to whether or not any scheme for such leave would be best arranged to cover the whole Church in Australia or left to separate decision by each diocese.

(2) To formulate for consideration by the next session of General Synod a scheme for long service leave to cover the whole Church in Australia, if the Standing Committee considers it desirable to introduce such a scheme after its investigation of the problem.
