That this General Synod recognises that this Church has an obligation to support ministry in areas of Australia where climate change and similar forces have affected the ability of the local people to provide it to the necessary level.

The General Synod recommends that the most appropriate way of dealing with this obligation in the short term is for each diocese to ensure that the National Home Mission Fund receive proper funding.

A Task Force of Bps Curnow, Hough, Stephens and Weatherill be appointed to report and make recommendations to Standing Committee on how ministry can be more adequately resourced in
Dioceses suffering from the impact of climate change.
