Missionaries' Living Allowances

That this Synod requests its Board of Missions as a matter or urgency to negotiate with the proper authorities the payment of fully adequate living allowances to all of its present missionaries, and to pursue a policy of withholding future recruits in any circumstances where the payment of such allowances is not assured.

It requests, also, that the adequate support of missionary personnel be always regarded as a high priority, and be kept under regular review.

(It was resolved on the motion of the Bishop of Newcastle that the Chairman of the Australian Board of Missions be given a seat on the floor of the House and be available to answer questions or to speak in explanation of the above resolution).
