Movers Bishop of the Northern Territory

That this Synod:

(a) welcome and express its support for the negotiations of the Australian Council of Churches with non-member
churches seeking to establish a more inclusive National Ecumenical Body in Australia, recognising that these negotiations may result in a major restructuring of the Australian Council of Churches or a new national ecumenical body to replace the Australian Council of Churches;
(b) re-affirm the commitment of the Anglican Church of Australia to participate as a full member of the national
ecumenical body in Australia; and
(d) authorise the Standing Committee to act on all matters relating to the Anglican Church of Australia’s membership
of the National Ecumenical body which results from the present negotiations.
