That the synod hears with great interest of the celebration on the 18th July, 1962, of the Centenary of the First Ordination of an Anglican deaconess in England: it records with thankfulness the work of the Order during the past one hundred years and its growth in this country, and commends the Order to the prayerful interest and support of the Church of England in Australia.
