Ordination of Women - reasons for dissent

That Synod requests the Standing Committee to ascertain from every diocese which has not assented to the Bill to Alter the Constitution of the Church with respect to the Ordination of Women, passed by Synod in 1981, the reason or reasons why in the opinion of the council of the diocese, the diocese has not assented to the Bill and to arrange consultation between representatives of those holding these reasons and the Doctrine Commission.
