Movers Bishop of Bathurst

That General Synod without commitment humbly requests the Bishop and Synod of the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn to consider, and where appropriate, to report its views to Standing Committee, on the following possibilities:

(a) that the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn become a permanent Primatial See with its bishop elected in some
appropriate way by the national church, or by a joint college of electors representing both the national church and the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn, or in some other manner agreed upon by the General Synod and the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn;

(b) that the national capital itself, or part thereof, comprise a new Primatial See excised from the Diocese of
Canberra and Goulburn;

(c) that a full-time Primacy be located in Canberra.
