Proposed National Anglican Education Consultation Commission

That General Synod, requests the General Board of Religious Education to study the feasibility of establishing a structure such as a National Anglican Education Consultation Commission, to study and, where appropriate, to co-ordinate those aspects of the educational policies of Diocesan and Provincial Education Committees or Commissions, which have national expression, such as Government Aid to Schools, and to assist and promote the teaching of Christianity in all schools and tertiary institutions in Australia, and to promote the rights and freedom of Christian Education in Australia.
