That General Synod, taking note of the report of the Primate under item 9 of the Order of Business for the 29th August, requests the Standing Committee to appoint a committee to re-examine the issue of the remarriage of divorced persons, to seek any further advice from the Doctrine Commission, to draft questions to the Appellate Tribunal should this be necessary, and to bring forward a new bill for a Canon to the next session of the General Synod.
