Request to the President of General Synod

Movers House of Clergy

Dear Mr President,

We clerical members of General Synod in accordance with Section 23(b) of the Constitution request you to convene a Special session of Synod in 1987 to consider the question of the ordination and consecration of women as deacons, priests and bishops.

(This request was accompanied by the signatures of 35 members of the House of Clergy, and a Prayer.
