Revision of Book of Common Prayer

That this synod appoints a commission to explore the possibilities of revision of, and addition to, the Book of Common Prayer for the Church of England in Australia, and to report to the next session of synod.
AND THAT the Commission be composed as follows:-
(a) Four diocesan bishops chosen by the House of Bishops;
(b) Twenty-eight representatives, clerical and lay, of the provinces and extra-provincial dioceses, ten being
chosen by the Metropolitan of N.S.W, seven by the Metropolitan of Victoria, four by the Metropolitan of Queensland, three by the Metropolitan of Western Australia, and four by the bishops of the extra-provincial dioceses; with power to co-opt persons with special knowledge; the Commission electing its own chairman from among the bishops, and its own secretary; the senior bishop to convene the first meeting.
