Role of Missionary and Ecumenical Council

That this General Synod recognises the value of the diversity of stance and structure in the various missionary agencies of our Church, both official Church bodies and voluntary societies. It further recognises the role of the Missionary and Ecumenical Council as a forum for the discussion of missionary issues and opportunities, and as a forwarding agency for requests for assistance from partner Churches. Synod rejoices in the enrichment which comes through fellowship with our partner Churches overseas and calls on the Anglican Church of Australia to share with them in the continuing mission through prayer, service, financial help and mutual understanding.
