That General Synod request Standing Committee to negotiate with a publisher to produce an edited version (provided by the Liturgical Commission) of Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer 1662 for use in Australia (under section 4 of the Constitution) and if that be impossible, then to negotiate with a publisher of the Book of Common Prayer in England to produce a Shorter Book containing Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer and Holy Communion (based on the current text of 1662 use in England) for use in Australia.
