Rural Ministry Network

The Rural Ministry Network was established following a Rural Ministry Conference held in 2019. The network brings together those involved in rural ministry to share initiatives and encourage each other to sustain ministry throughout Australia.

The intention of the network is to:

  • Work to encourage and develop outcomes from the conference
  • Plan the next conference for 2021
  • Establish a contact list and digital network of those involved in rural ministry
  • Build a file of case studies of many things happening in rural ministry to sustain ministry and mission in rural and remote Australia
  • Seek to strengthen the sustainability of rural ministry in the Anglican Church of Australia
  • Work cooperatively with rural dioceses in implementing the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the General Synod Safe Ministry Commission.
